I just have to say that I love this game. I bought it a few months ago, even though I had never heard of it. Then I never got a chance to play it.....But I did hear a lot of things about it, namely what I mentioned in the topic description. I always thought it was funny that for a character to use their powers, they have to shoot themselves in the head. Really bad message for kids (hope there aren't many youngsters playing it), but I think it's still fun.

As you can tell, I've started playing it. I started two days ago, and I'm like two months into it. It's really great so far. The voice acting isn't really that bad at all, and I especially like Michelle Ruff and Vic Mignogna (They were the only ones I recognized right away).

Then there's the whole idea behind the game. You spend pretty much an entire year in the game. Each day, you control what happens at different times. You know, like all those dating sims I'm sure you've played. Especially with the whole Social Link part. It's fun making your Persona fusions more powerful by talking to random people (So far I especially like the old couple. They're fun). You even get to date two people (at least...that's what I know so far). You even have to study for exams.

Then there's the whole exploration part. At night during the "Dark Hour", you get to investigate a huge structure called Tartarus. When I first heard about this part of the game, I thought that it would be something I wouldn't like. I usually don't like anything where you have to explore dungeons like that. It usually gets repetitive for me, but I don't know what it is that makes this interesting for me....maybe it's the fact that most of the floors are randomly generated each time you visit.

So far the only thing I haven't really gotten the hang of yet is fusing Personas. But of course, practice makes perfect.

OH YEAH. One of my other favorite things about the game is the music (especially the beginning music). I really like that the one I bought came with the soundtrack. (not sure if it's a special edition, or if all of them did)

me about 7-8 months into it...I am kinda stuck though...its the night before a big battle and im at a lower lvl than i should be (gonna get murdered...) but my character is maxed out on intelligence, charm, and courage...yay!

I will agree this is a great game and everyone should play it..

thanks for saying something about the soundtrack Ryto....i have a special edition too...but i never noticed the cd inside the art book until you said something.......pretty slow i know.....

I know! But even after I learned that, I still can't tell it's him. XD I'm usually able to, but this time he did it differently.

It's a great game! I love the soundtrack! I've been stuck for quite a while myself because of a certain stupid table boss on floor 135... :sweatdrop: What floor are you guys on?

I still love it though, so much, that I also plan on getting FES when that comes out as well! :lol:

heheh...i sorta blew off the whole training in the tower thing...according to the strategy guide that i got... i SHOULD BE around 200... but uh im only at...around 150.......its not my fault...they all got tired and abandoned me...

I'll admit, the games pretty easy once an enemy's weakness is found, that said normally I'd be able to reach the final floor before the next block in one night... But this table is really making me train more!

Oh, have ya'll mastered any Social Links yet? So far, I've got the Hanged Man. Next I'm aiming for Justice and Hermit.

Farthest I've gotten is the 40th floor....

Right now I'm trying to master the Justice Social Link. Not sure where I'll go from there. When that one's not available though, I just go for whatever else is. XD

Social Links.....thats what I ended up concentrating on...

HOw odd, I just lifted this game off my friend. He owed me 90 bucks, so I just took his collector's ed. of the game.

So judging from what you've all written, I take it that this beats the crap outta Persona 2?

I wouldn't know. This is the first one I've played.

Looking up random things about Persona 3, I found out there's an anime sequel to it starting (very coincidentally) on the fifth. That's tomorrow. XD I'll probably watch it once I'm done playing this...could take a while...

I've maxed my everything but Academics, and I'm really close. I've got I think two more characters to go.....I've maxed one social link, and will be working on others.

I haven't played it sooooo... how's the story line? The way y'all talk about it makes it sound like it takes a really long time. Does the story line stay interesting or does it have sudden bursts of real story every certain amount of time?

Depending on how you think of it, it could be like that. But there are some important things scattered between the bursts...O.o Hard to describe.

The amount of time it takes.....well......Hard to say....I'm at at least 50 hours now, but so far I'm not bored...O.o. Plus I tend to overwork myself anyway. XD People always say I level up too much.

I just beat that boss....he was a pain, but I managed to do it. XD

Took a lot of healing and using Magic Mirror.

Got it. Playing it. It's great. But that's not why I'm posting on this semi-old topic. There's a Persona anime out. It doesn't look like it follows the same characters in the game, but it is nonetheless a good show so far. (five eps into it and waiting for some others to finish).

ah you mean Persona ~ Trinity Soul ~? I haven't yet finished it myself (Tsubasa has recently taken its spot for now O.o) but yeah its pretty good.. I believe it occurs 10 years after the end of the game.. no more suicide attempts though they can pull them out when they need them for the most part T.T (although kids shooting themselves in the head might be alittle much for TV even in Japan XP)((and for those who don't know they use special guns not real ones..so they don't die..))

The whole evoker thing was just to get a certain member to join into S.E.E.S. It's basically revealed in FES.

Can't wait til 4 comes out! And yes, no evokers in that one either. The little link in my sig should still work.
