Hey, guys! As you know, 'cause you probably went to one when you first came to ODU, there are freshman/transfer orientations over the summer. So, if you're going to be at/near ODU over the summer, we'd love for you to come out and help us get fresh mea--errr, members! And we're only allowed into the frosh previews, so these are the only dates you need to worry about. Thanks in advance for the help!

ETA: Okay, a lot of people have been asking me about times and such, so let me clarify here so you don't have to go digging in the posts.
I get to preview around 11:30am to get a decent table spot. The actual preview kids don't really show up until about 12:30, though. So, if you're planning on coming, try to show up between those two times. And usually it ends around 1:30, and then we pack up and might go get some eats or something, maybe. As far as what to bring... your ODUAC shirt and your smiling face, unless I specify otherwise to you independently! :D

Hey, what time(s) would people be needed for the preview dates?

As far as I know preview starts at 12:30pm but it's first-come, first-serve for tables so we'll probably want to be early. I'll probably try to putter down there by 11:30 or something. And when that extends to... I have no idea at all. At least an hour, probably two, maybe more.

What stuff are you bringing? I was told that it was stuff just like the stuff that we had for MainStreet. XD I am just curious to know if anyone from your group was bringing anything. :D

Uh... yeah, basically just main street junk. Maybe a little more limited 'cause I don't wanna haul junk all around in case we get a table.

So tomorrow (( and by tomorrow I mean Thursday! )) is the first preview day! For the honors college kids, so uh, I guess smart kids? XD Anyway! The e-mail I got said we should begin setting up our table at noon, so once again, I'm gonna be there at 11:30. If you're just coming to help man the table and don't need to set anything up, feel free to come a little before 12:30, which is when it starts. Remember, we're going to be talking to students AND parents, so dress/act/etc appropriately so that we give off a good impression.

Also, I just printed out a bunch of little quarter-sized flyers from Kinko's, so we're good on those. In case you're curious; this is what they look like. (( The central lines bisecting them are the cutting lines I used for guidance! :D Though I still suck at cutting so some of them are off. ;x ))

I'm wondering; if anyone who ALSO can draw wants to come, maybe we could do like, free chibi portraits to draw people to the table? Just quick n' dirty sketches. I'll probably do it by myself, anyway, but more people = more output = more satisfied visitors! :D

... OH CRUD I FORGOT A SIGN IN SHEET I'D BETTER MAKE ONE AHHHH. *explodes*

It needs to have the club forum address added to it and also I have also found a discrepancy between these dates and the one on google doc, on docs it didn't have a June 16 preview... anywho, I will be out there tomorrow

Also Should we bring a TV... and stuff like last time... and also a labtop to play Anime... We used the TV to play anime related games and it showed what the anime club was... video gaming *cough*slackers*cough*, And we can also probably leave something with OSAL to let them know when the student request to join us that they can get one of our flyers... I am going to attach A picture of last years.... if it helps...

Ignore Katie's post; she has the un-updated dates. Basically, they narrowed down the dates from the earlier listed ones. I guess they didn't have enough freshies or something. :D I'm gonna delete Katie's post so no one gets confused; sorry, Katie! n_n;

Anyway. For the flyers I was trying to go minimalist... get the important stuff out there and all that. I guess we can write it on them if we really want to and have the spare time. XD But yeah, I was figuring we'd just e-mail the forum info out to the people who sign up on the interest sheet.

EDIT:: Also!! I'd really like it if everyone who was coming could wear their anime club t-shirts. And continue to do so for every preview. It'd be nice to show a united front. XD

And, I forgot to comment; do we get electricity at these things? Like, CAN we bring anime or whatever and actually show it? I've never been, so I have nooo idea. :D Maybe wait until the next preview so that we know what we're working with? I mean, the laptop, go ahead. That can run on battery if it's absolutely necessary, and it's not too heavy to carry around even if we end up not being able to use it. But a TV is quite the bulky item to not be able to use, you know?

I remember last year when I came for my preview they were playing FLCL on one tv and had a ps2 running one of the Naruto games on another so I don't see why we couldn't this time unless something has changed XD

I was hoping that you would delete that post so I am glad you did. I hope to find my gay blanket for my table. It would bring more color. Also I forgot to ask if you wanted me to bring any of my anime collectibles or such. You can just give me a shout out later.

I'll be going up tomorrow to see if the clubs can get in, and anyone else willing to meet me there would be a big help. :D
