Lucas arts has two games coming out next fall/winter season that should excite you wii owners.

Star wars: the force unleashed, which supposedly will feature the wiimote as your saber with the nunchuk as your force push/etc. It will also feature a multiplayer dueling mode.
The downside? The versions on any other platform (barring the pc, regrettably) sound a heck of a lot better. More levels, better content, extreme physics engines; why would we bother with the wii version?

Especially since Star Wars Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels is coming out for the wii in december or so and will feature the same combat mechanics with a different setting and art style?

Not sure what Lucas Arts was smoking when they came up with that decision (and their many other bonehead decisions, like no multiplayer for next gen consoles after promising it last year or deciding to not make a pc version), but someone needs to hit them with a clue-by-four. At least I have the option of snagging one game for awesome graphics, physics engine, etc and the other for cartoony wii violence.

Sony sucks, so no PS3 for me.

Don't play enough to warrent a 360.

And I already have a Wii. So that's what I'll be getting.

I'll rent it first and from there see if I want to buy it.

I don't know, I think Force Unleashed will be like almost all Wii games and be a port of the PS2 version and the clone wars game is based on the first Star Wars movie I don't want to see in theaters(still milking Star Wars Lucas or release 7, 8, and 9, I want to see Luke, Han, and Leia again).

So I rather wait for one that is a strait non-cel shaded game.

Also where is anothe Rouge Squadron game?

Hmm...IDK about the lightsaber battle game...if its anything like Bleach Shattered Blade, it won't be as good as its hyped up to be...

Its not that i hate bleach, it just got really old really fast...same story with diff characters and honestly arturo was waaay to easy...the only good ppl are hanataro and Kira(cant remember st name/last namer depending on how u say it)

my biggest problem is that i know the combat lightsaber swinging they are advertising won't be that satisfying for me. like how in tiwilight princess you had to swing the wiimote to get the sword to swing? i became immensely dissappointed that swinging it a certain way didn't change how link attacked; i could barely flick my wrsit and it was the same as an elaborate flourish preparing for a riposte.i'm sure these games, while more complex than "swing the wiimote" won't be anywhere near the "realsitic sword fighting sim with special star wars flavor" game that i want it to be...
