I am pretty pschyed about this retro refit. It looks good and news is that it will be cheap.

PS: Yes, this is really a new game....

on the one hand, i grew up with meganman games and i loved them to death (except megaman 8, officially the first japanese game i played with japanese voice actors). on the other hand, i beat megaman games really quickly, and i would argue that with just the retro feel to it i would prolly beat it and then move on; too many games to check out next quarter. now it would be really neat if they had multiple episodic releases, or a level editor so peeople can make up their own stages and bosses and submit them to some universal pool that everyone can enjoy.

I would almost say this is too retro, I like the idea of an old school 2-d Megaman but going with old school graphics seems like an easy way out. Maybe it will be good, but I never even liked Rockman that much anyway.

I can't wait for it to come out. I love the old mega man series, especially the X series. But seeing this box art is embarrassing.

This will also be the first Megaman game to have a female Master as a boss.

How is it, that Mega Man 9 has been out since Monday, yet nobody has commented on it? Surely I can not be the only one in the club who was anxiously awaiting this game?

I mean the game is pretty awesome, even if Capcom rather removed the charge shot and slide function for no adequately explained reason. But the game play is all there regardless of which, and it features a great soundtrack. Also, for non-Mega Man veterans, this game may just kick your face in a lot with its difficulty, and even give the veterans some trouble.

So, I now revive this thread for great justice!... (hopefully)

Depending on how things go, I might have this up in the Lion's Den tomorrow.


EDIT: And one of the reasons it may not is because of all the good games that have to come out right now, Kirby SSU, Disgaea DS, Sonic Chronicles, and this.
