Hiya there! My name's Chris and I'm around a month away from being a freshman at ODU. I'm an all-around nerd, with long-running addictions to anime (duh), manga, video games, and books. I find it easy to lose myself in a book by Joseph Campbell, an episode of Azumanga Daioh, or an obscure RPG for the SNES, but I've never managed to stay focused in school for more than five minutes :doh: . I'm interested in about a bajillion things, and I'm not really sure what I'm majoring in yet. Still, I'm really excited about coming to ODU!

Now, you have to have spent more than five minutes on SOMETHING school related. While it's not the best school around, I'm pretty sure you have to graduate high school to get into ODU :P.

Heya! :D Welcome to the club. I think the low-school-attention-span is a common symptom among anime club people, so you should feel right at home. XD Just don't neglect your studies too much!

My lack of school attention is the fact that I don't have to give it in order to pass. Well, except for one class. *sigh* Well, I'll be studying this year in an attempt to get all B's or higher.

Just an FYI, that lack of attention can come back to haunt you later in life. I rarely needed to take notes in class. I could just pay attention and pass the tests, etc. Which means that I have no notetaking/study skills. This has caused me problems in the business world. My bosses have learned not to send me to meetings to report back to them with notes of the meeting. :)

Agh! Since I got rejected for campus housing, I looked around and found a place that's being refurbished/rebuilt/cleared of spiderwebs and pidgeons only a block or two away from the village. Prob is, I'll be moving in in about a week, since my parents seemed eager to throw down the first few months' rent and get me over there/here.

Soo...what do I do with myself for the next month? :(...

Welcome welcome. There are more people on/around campus than you would think. So finding stuff to do during the summer is not that hard. As for studying be wary of the Lion's Den. XD
