I just found out about this, and apparently it was just announced yesterday. It seems there's going to be a live action version of Cowboy Bebop. It's 20th Century Fox, so of course it's going to be American. Just another one to add to the list of anime shows/movies that are getting an American live action movie.

Now that one will actually be good compared to the DBZ movie I keep hearing about.

I just wonder who is going to play as Ed. Ed rocks my socks.

All the characters are going to be hard to get right....I hope they at least come close...

This is an anime that would work easily as a live action movie. It really will need to have a diverse and AWESOME soundtrack to live up to the anime. Casting for this is not as hard as one would think. All of the characters are rather archetypal(the smooth operator, the old retired cop, the hot chick looking out for herself, the competent spaz, and a welsh corgi) .

Let's start giving suggestions for who should be in the movie. I'm not going first though o.o"

??? I actually enjoyed the Death Note live action movie...(still haven't seen the second one).

Not to mention that's different in so many ways. The Death Note live action came before the anime, and that was a Japanese movie. This is an American Cowboy Bebop movie.

Agh. I heard about this a while ago, and I'm not sure what to expect. Could be good, but if Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts aren't involved, I won't even bother with it. The music was a big part of what made Bebop great.

I'm afraid to even say this, but two people I could see playing Faye-Faye are

Angelina Jolie (please don't hurt me! lol) and
Milla Jovovich for some reason


I dunno why but I think of them doing an interesting job of Faye-Faye.


And I always see myself as Ed. Is that conceited??? :doh: ( i kid here, although i have her hair style often enough)

They should actually get some new upcoming actors to play the roles so that we can't judge them on previous roles!

And I agree that Yoko Kanno should work with this because the music was HUGE.

btw, i never saw that movie ad thing before, but it scared the living daylights outta me when i saw it...

Well, I actually didn't like the DN movie. But that's just me. Anyway, I can't picture an American CB because they would, most likely, use big time actors to rack in the cash. However, if more details are thrown around mentioning up and coming actors and will not be made by FOX(which I now dislike due to their work on Babylon A.D.), I will definitely reconsider this film. I just hope it doesn't end up as a really terrible piece of garbage. That would suck.

Should have Joss Whedon direct & produce the movie!
