Hi everyone! My name is Kellie and I'm so excited to go to ODU. I love reading manga and watching anime. My favorites are Vampire Hunter D, Naruto, Trigun, xXxHolic, Claymore, Yu Yu Hakusho and Death Note. If you have any suggestions of your favorites I would love to hear them.

I also like eating chocolate and strawberry pocky, ninja's and foxes who have something different about them (basically who aren't the normal redish ones)

I suggest, if you enjoy XXXholic by Clamp, that you read Legal Drug. Its a good series however it is a bit stalled right now as Clamp works on finding a new publisher I believe. It has a bit of homosexual content however to warn you.

The others that I'm reading/waiting for is My Cat Loki (only 3 volumes long), Loveless (waiting for that next volume is hard), and Psycho-Busters which you can probably pick up from the odu bookstore, I think that's where I got mine and got hooked. It has a bunch of "fanservice" and fun jokes/story lines.

Oh well you can probably get it from the dominion bookstore and just keep it in a secret stash. Thats what I do with my >.> nevermind.

My Cat Loki is about an artist who is sad over the death of his cat. He would imagine the cat as a catboy (no wonder why I love it) and would often be his muse. But, in a storm he meets up with a stray with the name-tag "Loki". So, the artist takes care of the cat as he tries to find the home. Unable to locate Loki's family, he continues on with his life with his new friend. He also has a very nice yet strong Agent that tries as she may to get him back to work on his paintings. Its quite fun, funny, and well drawn. I have the first two volumes, but not the third and final installment.

I agree with Ecnelis about Legal Drug, its very good.

I also recommend Tenjho Tenge, Ouran High School Host Club, Getbackers (my favorite series EVAR!) and Air Gear =3

Who are you favorite characters from Trigun and Death Note? I like Vash and from Death Note my favorite character was L but....sadly that had to change.

Tsubasa is my favorite, and it goes with xxxHolic. Both are some of my favorites. But there's more than one favorite... however I haven't gotten a lot of manga in a while.

I notice that your avatar is Karin. Does that mean you're caught up in the Naruto manga?

The character in Satasha's avatar is Karin from Naruto. She hasn't been in the anime yet (dub or japanese).

I guess it's the drawing style that threw me off.

I knows, isn't he a cutie?! ^o^ You should see him later when he gets around Akabane! Its SOOO cute, and it has a amusing effect on Ban xD When you get to the "Infinity Fortress" arc, (from Vol 4-8, I think) it DOES slo down a bit, b/c it alludes to alot of stuff about Ginji and its a very complex arc, but keep with it! It's still a good one! I think you'll like the arc about the playing cards (I forgot the name T^T). Its very very funny to watch Hevn channel psychic energy into eggs...*chuckles* Ginji does his chibi face alot during this arc. ^^ But, b4 I babble anymore about GB, I'm glad you liked it! =D

From Trigun, Vash is my favorite by default, but besides him, my favorite character is Legato Bluesummmer. I cried when Vash, well, you know...I could sympathize with Legato (god knows why...) and even moreso with Vash, so I cried a river until the next ep...

As Death Note goes, Rem is by far by favorite, followed very very closely by Mello. Rem was just plain AWESOME, and if I were a shimigami, I'd be like her. Mello was just awesome, and his chocolate addiction rivals mine; and I related very well to both of them.

I never liked L much, b/c I was an instant member of Team KIRA. ^^; I have to say though, Light kinda lost favor in my eyes by the 9th volume, b/c he was getting really....I guess, for lack of a better word, insensitive to himself (?) He was risking his own families lives, and that is a big NO in my book. (Bad Light, BAD!) Once I read Vol 12 I was like: "Whooooo, Light...You've...gotten.........Craaaaaazee." However, I still cling to that cute little inquisitive innocence hi had in Vol 1 (if you look through it, he looks like Hikaru (from Hikaru no Go, another Obata-sensei gem) sometimes. It cute. =)
